programmer, photographer, writer

I wrote stuff, ad-hoc, for a few years. Something was missing. Everybody blogs (or is it twitters?) these days. The desire to attend writing workshops was burning. After I moved to Boston in 2007, I attended several writing workshops, most notably, the one at Harvard Extension School and GrubStreet. It’s then that I realized, I was writing crap on my blog. The craft of writing is pretty darn tough.

Currently, I’m an MFA student (Fiction Writing) at Pacific University, Oregon. I’m working on Yuti, a collection of seven interconnected short stories based around Hyderabad, India. The first two stories — Postcards and The Watch were written as a part of my first semester course at MFA.

My earlier, pathetic, attempts to write appear in my blog with the tags – abstract, impalpable confessions, poem, short story. Soon, they will become obsolete.
