The short story: I’m an experienced Software engineer. I work as a Sr Engineer here. Before that, I worked, traveled, and consulted in three different countries, primarily in web & enterprise java/jee technologies.
The long story:
I would be lying if I said I always wanted to be a programmer or was fascinated with computers. The truth is: I laid my hands on computers in the eight grade on a well known software application. I scored a 100 in my final exam. I got my first email (then, yahoo) in the summer of 1998. Engineering didn’t happen by accident nor it was my destiny but there wasn’t much choice (coming from a family of doctors and engineers).
After 5 years of working as a programmer and some earning fancy titles that were designated to me from a big service company, I decided to free myself from the corporate world to work as a consultant, concentrating more on core programming and technology. Consulting was good for a while but then there was this economy in late 2008. Well, you know what I mean. I joined Cramer in 2009 in their core Java Engineering group. It’s been a good ride so far.
